Gin - Mother's Ruin!

For years I collected Breweriana - I spent a lot of my early years in Social clubs (Working Men's Clubs) - which changed dramatically over the years - and I suppose such items evoked nostalgia. My husband didn't share my interest; so a few years ago I sold most of my collection. I kept a couple of ashtrays (I've never smoked!) and just couldn't bear to part with my Beefeater Gin ice bucket.

It isn't that I like Gin - horrid, ughh! - otherwise known as 'Mother's Ruin' for various reasons - but I just loved the design of the item. It normally sits on top of a kitchen cupboard but when I got it down to clean it, I just couldn't resist taking a photo.
