This morning, our next door neighbour (a Neurosurgical theatre nurse)
told us that she had been on TV on Thursday night whilst they filmed live surgery for the removal of a pituitary tumour - amazingly removed via a nostril).
She had forgotten to tell anyone - so no-one had seen the surgery! I'd actually seen it advertised and because it's the hospital I attend for my transplant, had been tempted to watch - but changed my mind at the last moment and watched the news instead.
Jackie says the patient is doing fine and they hope she will be discharged on Tuesday!
